This is the first and most essential round of professional editing. This is when you’re probably sending your manuscript out to Alpha readers.

In this package I will look at your structure over all. This highlights inconsistencies, plot holes and any underlying issues with the bigger picture. I will also give advice regarding line and word-level issues, showing you any bad habits that you might have.

This package includes one revision after initial edits.

Copy Editing is a more refined look, giving feedback on a line-to-line basis to strengthen the text. This stage comes after the big developmental edit and some time around when you might have Beta readers.

This package will deal with the more detailed elements of the work, honing it to a professional level of manuscript.

If you’ve done a lot of self-editing and now want professional eyes on your work, the Manuscript Review is for you.

I will give the first 10,000 words of the manuscript a thorough edit. This will give you a thorough idea of any line-level bad habits you might have developed. I will also read the rest of the manuscript to give chapter-by-chapter edits on the narrative.

It’s not standard to employ an independent editor before you begin to submit to agents, but for some people it can be reassuring to have that back up.

Maybe you’ve been submitting for a while with no interest. Or maybe you want confidence that your work is worthwhile. Whatever your reason to look for an editor, this package gives the most comprehensive support to maximise chances of success.

1.5k Sample

When you begin a discussion with me, I will happily complete a free 1.5k word sample edit of your work so you can see my editing style & if we’re compatible.

I also like to have a video call consultation with prospective clients. I will give feedback on a synopsis of the full work to give any up-front thoughts on the narrative.

These are offered completely for free, with no obligation for my services.

Installments

Editing packages can begin to get pricey as the wordcount mounts up. I offer monthly payment plans, to lessen the burden.

All contracts will be expected to pay the first installment on the contract signing. The final payment is due when the assets are completed and ready to be returned.
